Dear Valued Orbit International Inc. Customers,

Our Company and most other companies and communities continue to be faced with the COVID-19 pandemic. Certain essential industries have been identified by New York State as being exempt from Governor Andrew Cuomo’s “New York State on PAUSE” executive order, one of them being “defense and national security-related operations supporting the U.S. Government or a contractor to the US government”.  This exception applies to Orbit International as most of our business is defense related and is either sold directly to the US Government or to major defense contractors in support of US Government contracts.

Out of the necessity to maximize social distancing and to protect the health of our employees, Orbit has continually evaluated how to best meet our obligations as an essential national defense supplier, while also strongly supporting the Governor’s “PAUSE” order to protect New York State citizens from the COVID-19 pandemic.  Now, the Governor’s “New York State on PAUSE” executive order is set to expire on May 15th.  In response, all companies are required to have in place a plan to ensure that when New York “UNPAUSES” we will do so in a safe manner so as to not trigger a renewed spread of the COVID-19 virus in our state.  Orbit has developed such a plan, which is designed to ensure the safety of our employees as well as enable us to continue to meet the needs of our customers.  These steps will help to further ensure the continuity of our operations as we continue to supply the products that are critical to our customer’s businesses.  We are continuously monitoring and assessing the current pandemic situation and responding appropriately as it evolves.

During these difficult times Orbit International Corp. (Orbit) remains ready to support the United States’ Defense Industrial Base.  Please be assured that the health, safety and support of our employees and customers is our top priority and we are taking appropriate actions based on guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as well as state and local authorities.

Regards,
